Built on the previous success of community ownership through ‘Transforming Your Space’, a large number of park masterplans and ‘wish-lists’ were produced in consultation with ‘Friends’ Groups. The example of King George VI Park shows both the masterplan and some of the contract implementation drawings and photos: a pool edge with grass seating area, and an entrance area featuring a mosaic piece (designed with a local school); surfacing in Blanc de Bierges units.
